

Located in the heart of the Ecrins National Park, the village of St Christophe en Oisans has a remarkable natural heritage. Each valley is original and offers magnificent views of the mythical summits such as La Meije, Les Écrins or La Dibona.Many leisure activities are available in summer (hiking, glacier hiking, mountaineering, via-ferrata, white water, fishing...) as well as in winter (ice climbing, ski touring, off-piste skiing from Les 2 Alpes...).Period of opening : Two information offices are at your service in the town:

The Alpe du Pin is a lesser-known hut that fills your heart with cheer, clears your mind... and exercises your calf muscles! You can count on a warm welcome and great food provided by the wardens, Carine and Judith.The refuge is situated on a magnificent belvedere. It's a steady, but beautiful climb up to the hut, through unspoilt natural surroundings.
Activities around the hut include further hikes, such as to the Lac de Mariande, the Lac de Salude and the Col de Mariande.
There are also mountaineering opportunities, including the Tête de Lauranoure, the Col de la Haute Pisse...and rock-climbing with great routes such as the Pierroux and the Cascade.
The hut was built in 1947 and has kept its modest origins through the decades, although it has made reasonable adjustments to meet the level of comfort expected today.

Events are scheduled at the hut throughout the summer season in the daytime or in the evening and include various activities for children.
Access : The hut is a 1 1/2 hour walk up from Les Granges, a hamlet located below Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans.
It is not inside the National Park, so dogs are permitted on a leash.

In the heart of Oisans, the Lavey refuge is ideal for discovering mountain pasture life with its sheep, chamois, marmots, and accessing lakes, ridges, or glaciers! Camille & Ludmilla will delight you with their warm welcome and their colorful cuisine!Located at an altitude of 1797 m, a 2-hour walk from the hamlet of Champhorrent on an easy path going up the Muande torrent, you reach a place of privileged exchanges, sharing of emotions between climbers, hikers and people of the mountain. Family refuge and original cuisine.
At the refuge you will find everything you need for this particular adventure:
- The cover: from refreshments to full meals, including small snacks. Sweet and savory delicacies at any time.
- Dormitories: equipped with mattresses, pillows and duvets.
- Guardians: to welcome you, inform you, advise and guide you in the choice of your routes.
At the foot of glaciers and accessible lakes, fauna, flora, herds meet you and each of you, from the smallest to the largest, from the contemplative to the adventurer, from the climber to the walker, will find satisfaction.

Access : The hut is the starting point for superb walks to alpine lakes such as Lac des Bêches, Lac des Rouies and Lac des Fétoules.
Dogs are NOT permitted even if they are on leash.

Marielle and Quentin will be delighted to welcome you to the Soreiller hut, nestled at an altitude of 2720 m at the foot of the Aiguille Dibona, an extraordinary granite sculpture on the Oisans skyline.After your climb up to the hut, you can enjoy food at any time of the day, especially the homemade desserts! Take advantage of the sunny terrace and deckchairs to relax and admire the outstanding view of the Etages valley.
The hut is a starting point for many climbing routes.

Tax not included.Good plans : Experienced walkers can walk to the hut by the Montagne d'en Bas path before descending by the normal path to complete a satisfying circuit.
Access : 3 hr walk from Les Etages.
As it is not inside the National Park, dogs are allowed on leash but must be kept under control since many flocks of sheep graze in the area.

Located in the centre of Saint-Christophe, just a stone's throw from the moving cemetery where the famous mountain guides from La Bérarde and the Vénéon are buried, the Museum is a must-see for all mountain lovers.In this high perched - and, some would say, somewhat remote - village, the museum focuses on the core subject of high-mountains. A 400m² exhibition area located in the heart of the mountains depicts the history of Alpine mountaineering, together with the strong emotions of this sport, synonymous with adventure and liberty.
Explore this high-altitude world via the adventures of the pioneering mountaineers and the early guides, such as Gaspard, the very first person to climb the Meije. Climb up onto these renowned peaks alongside the very first women mountaineers. Lastly, the temporary exhibition takes you on a trip inside the ice.
