A small Alpine village by Verney Lake in natural and enchanting surroundings, the Eau d'Olle Valley, which allows you to enjoy all the benefits of water and mountain.
The Tourist Office, open year round, will always be here to provide you with its staff competent advices and to offer you various useful informations:

- Information about the Oisans territory and the Eau d'Olle Valley
- Information about local accomodations (local guides available)
- Information about local sports and cultural activities, animations and events
- Shuttle and coaches timetables
- Each morning, a display of local weather will be available as well as a prevision for the whole week
- Commerce of various products (hiking guide books, Village's book, "Point Bleu" tokens, climbing sessions tickets in summer...)
- Fax and photocopying service
- Free wi-fi point near the Tourist Office
- E-bike service: recharge here your electric bike on request (remember to bring your charger).

During winter we also offer, with the cross country skiing building, snowshoe excursion or cross country skiing during night (when the snow cover is well enough to allow it).
Snowshoe routes are also accessible from the village. Guides and plans are available at your convenience in the Tourist Office to help you discover and enjoy our beautiful landscapes.

In summer, it's cycling, mountain biking and hiking time. Lots of brochures are also available to enrich furthermore your journey.
We are also organizing lots of various animations: free concerts during friday evening in the Tilleuls Park, studios and stages directed at children, bocce and grills, badminton evening, climbing session, etc, etc...

Cross-country skiing centre

The cross-country skiing centre sells ski passes (national annual pass, Nordic Pass and the Isère annual pass), as well as renting out equipment, including Nordic skiing and skating gear, poles, boots and snowshoes.
The centre is a friendly place that provides equipment rental, cross-country ski passes and expert advice!

Period of opening : From 18/12 to 13/03 between 8.30 am and 12 pm.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st and December 25th.

Refuge de la Pra

At 2100 meters, the refuge of La Pra, close to the many clear lakes of the Massif Belledonne, will delight anglers, hikers and families. La Pra is also a wonderful pasture where you can encounter marmots, wild sheep and ibex.
Getting there :
1/ at the car park of Pré Raymond, take the forest road then a trail to the left (southeast). Some laces lead you to an almost horizontal path that allows you to get out of the forest. Cross the stream before reaching the dam and the Lac du Crozet. Follow the path along the lake and walk up the valley of Mercier to the Col de la Pra. At the mountain pass, turn right (south) and get to the refuge located 5 minutes from the Col de la Pra.

2/ In Chamrousse, from the car park at the foot of the Grande Aiguille, follow the GR of Pays then pass between the lakes (path GR 738). Climb back up slightly before descending into the valley of l'Echaillon. Leave on your left the path to the waterfalls of l'Oursière, then on your right the path to the lake David. Climb back to Lake Leama and reach lakes Longet and Claret. Climb to the ledge where you will find the refuge.
3/ At the Recoin de Chamrousse, take the path GR 738 to reach the lakes Robert. Then follow the same itinerary as the one by the Croix de Chamrousse.

EDF Hydrélec museum

The Musée EDF Hydrélec is the only museum in France dedicated to hydroelectricity. Installed in Oisans, the Musée EDF Hydrélec features a new 900m2 scenographic display that retraces the epic story of the production of hydroelectricity.
It pays homage to the scientists, engineers, technicians and manoeuvres that played a role in building the hydroelectric power stations and dams, some of which have become an integral part of our heritage and genuine works of art. Installed in Oisans, in the heart of an area with a long history of hydroelectricity, the Musée EDF Hydrélec has now been awarded the «Musée de France» label. It features a number of unique collections comprising scientific and technical objects from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Member of the "Route of the know-how of the Oisans", he organizes the guided tour "Exceptional electricity" on reservation ..
