If you in need of a quiet and relaxing time in the middle of nature, hiking to this mountain hut is your answer. You will sure appreciate eating home-made food on the terrasse enjoying the amazing view of the mountains around and discovering the conviviality of spending a night in a guarded mountain hut.The hut is situated at an elevation of 1700 meters with a beautiful panoramic point of view.
From the Parking lot in the "Espace Nordique du Barioz" at 1400 meters altitude, you'll find two different trails, the one on your right is a little trail going by "Pierre roubet" (name written on the yellow signs) the one on your left is a mud road.Period of opening : From 14/05 to 02/10/2022, daily.Prices : Night: 12 €

THE HUT IS CURRENTLY CLOSED
The hut that used to be a shelter for the sheperd, was transformed to become a dormitory for the hikers crossing Belledonne. There is nothing like the view you will admire from the refuge which will be even better if you are enjoying it while eating one of the hosts specialties !Whether you are a good hiker or not, you will enjoy climbing to the "Refuge de la Pierre du Carre" while picking wild strawberries or blueberries on your way up.Period of opening : Closed temporarily.Prices : Tax not included.
Access : How to get there ? Located below the Col du Claran, at 1760 m altitude, the trail begins at the Super Collet parking lot. Take the path that goes North on the right of the Claran chairlift, then follow the yellow signs indicatin "Refuge de La Pierre du Carre". Once you reach an intersection, turn right in the direction of the mountain hut. you can also reach the refuge taking the path of L'arête de l'Evêque.

Getting there : From the car park, take in front of you a wide path (yellow and blue markings), follow it to a fork in the road and turn left. Go up the meadow of L’Oule along the stream. After 1500 m, leave the path up to the Col de Vay and turn right. It then goes over the waterfall to the left. Cross the concrete bridge to reach the ledge of the Oule (1720 m). Continue on your left, you’ll see the hut and you will reach it with a final short climb.

As part of its architectural and museographic project, the Allevard Museum is closed to the public. It will reopen in 2023 in the former casino of the Thermal Park of Allevard.Currently under renovation, the Allevard Museum is intended to discover the history of the country of Allevard. It will enhance the human activities that have existed and are still developing there: hydrotherapy, tourism, industry.
The Allevard Museum is being rebuilt in the former casino of the Thermal Park of Allevard. Behind the closed door of the museum, the team is therefore working to prepare the exhibitions, the mediation, the reception of visitors.
