Follow the path down to the Col des Trois Fontaines, then to the Col de la Botte. Descend to the left towards the Col des Lessines, then follow the signs to the Robert lakes. Be careful, the last section between the Col des Lessines and the lakes is relatively complex, with rocky passages.

VARIATION: Robert lakes via the track under the chairlift (1.6km 45 minutes; D+10/D-250). Caution: no markings.

Vigilance: the Chamrousse shepherd uses dogs to herd his flock (but not patous). To ensure that mountain goers and shepherds can get on well together, please follow a few instructions. Don't cross the herd, don't try to pet or feed the dogs or the herd, don't make sudden gestures or throw things that might frighten the dog, don't start running and avoid taking photos from too close...

On presentation of a photo taken at the hiking site, brave little hikers will be awarded a named diploma + possible purchase of the "lacs Robert" gold star to hang proudly on the backpack (on sale for €2.50 at Tourist Offices).

Delicate passages : The final stretch between Col des Lessines and Robert Lakes is rocky. Steep passage. Not recommended in wet weather.

Opening : From 15/06 to 30/09. Please note that the cable car is only open in July and August and on certain weekends in June and September (otherwise it is a minimum 2.5 hour walk up the hill).
