Starting point: 4th hairpin bend, “Pré des Dames”

From the center of the resort, take the Route du Poursollet. After approximately four hairpin bends (note: the first two are still within the village), you’ll reach the starting point of the Chemin Bonniot, about 4 km from the Col.
Continue on foot along a forest trail that winds through a beautiful beech and spruce woodland, home to some remarkable, centuries-old trees with unique shapes. The path leads to the picturesque Louvet Cabin, nestled in a natural cirque overlooking the village of Alpe du Grand Serre. There’s a small fountain next to the cabin, and a tiny lake about 100 meters further into the cirque.

Step by step description : Start : the fourth hairpin - "Pré des Dames" From the center-station, take "Route du Poursollet". Count 4 hairpin-turns (the two firsts being in the village) before arriving at the start of "Chemin Bonniot" at around 4 km from the Pass. Follow by walking on a forest path which cross a forest of beech and century-old spruces with atypical forms. It will bring you to the picturesque "Cabane du Louvet", in a cirque overlooking the village of the "Alpe du Grand Serre". There's a fountain next to the cabin, also a little lake around 100m in direction of the back of the cirque.
