From Place du Château, where you can park your bike, head for Le Péage de Vizille, Bourg d'Oisans on the D101 (approx. 1.5 km).
At the intersection with the RD1091, head for Bourg d'Oisans and cycle along the Romanche to the village of Séchilienne.
At Séchilienne, take the Col du Luitel road at the small traffic circle on your left. You'll pass its château and imposing church.
Around 10 km of difficult ascent (average 8.7%, maximum 14.3%) await you before arriving at the Luitel Nature Reserve: a protected peat bog home to numerous species of flowers and small animals.

At the pass, turn right onto the D111 towards Chamrousse, and after enjoying the view and stopping at the summit, head back down to Uriage les Bains via Les Seiglières (21km).
At the bottom, turn left and continue to Vizille (10km) on the D524.
